Cheap Vacation Spots - You Don't Have to Spend Big Bucks With Budget-Friendly Vacations

When people mention cheap vacation spots I tend to think of a "not so fun" vacation, but it doesn't have to be that way at all. There are many places you can go that are affordable and budget friendly and yet still lots of fun. Here are a few ideas on how to have a super family trip and not have to spend big bucks.

First idea is to go in with other family members and rent a cabin in the mountains or even a beach house. The benefits of this type of arrangement is you can split the costs of everything. And the more the merrier because the more people involved, the less cost per person. A mountain vacation or a beach vacation offer lots and lots of cheap or free activities. And since you are renting a place you can do most of your cooking yourself. And of course split the cost of the groceries!

Next idea is to book your vacation in a city where there is steep competition to get the tourist dollar. This means you will get better deals on hotel, car rental, and attractions. If it's a large city you'll also find many low-cost activities such as museums, zoos, parks, lakes, etc. You'll be able to shop around for the best bargain and believe me, you'll find some good ones. Some good ideas are Orlando, San Antonio, and Washington D.C. to name a few.

Another really good idea for cheap vacation spots is to book your vacation at a resort in the off season. You can still have fun but the bonus will be cheaper prices and less people and crowds. So do some research at different areas you would like to visit and find out what the time of the year is when they usually experience the least business, and book your trip for this time.
